Call me. We can help you.

He asked me for spare change.
I shook his hand asked him for his name. It was soft.
Lucky he replied, as he stared down and away.
I gave him $1 and my card.
Have you seen or worked with us? I asked.
No. Stares at my card and badge.
I tell him, call me. We can help you with housing. Would you like that?
Yes, he says. Anymore change?
No, sorry but call me. We can help you.

Master of None: S1 Episode 10: Finale

"Do you Dev,

Take Rachel to be your partner in a possibly outdated institution, in order to have a quote/unquote normal life. Are you ready to give up an idealistic search for a soulmate and try to make it work with Rachel so you can move forward with your life? I do.

And do you Rachel, promise to make a crazy eternal bond with this gentleman you happen to be dating at this stage in your life when people normally get married? I do.

I know pronounce you, two people that might realize they made an unfortunate mistake in about 3 years."

I thought this scene was both humorous and insightful. It highlighted some of our societal constructs of what is expected of us at certain ages. I prefer to let things be. Que sera sera.

Do not be daunted...

"Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it." - Rabbi Tarfon

What is Your Main Goal in Life?

To live a positive life and to be a positive force in other people's lives. A tremendously difficult feat, but not impossible.
