NEW JOB: Behavioral Technician/Specialist(Therapist?)

On January 14th this year I began my job as a Behavioral Specialist. I've welcomed the challenge and I'm learning on the go. I think the best moments so far are when my clients(autistic children) welcome me to their homes with a "HI! FELIPE!!" and when I depart "BYE FELIPE". They learned my name so quickly and hearing their innocent voice shout it is pleasing to my ears.

Today, during my first visit, my client's sister remarked something quite comical. She went up to me after I ignored her requests for attention and exclaimed, "FELIPE, no le va a gustar a tu mama que estes con niƱos." That translates to "Felipe, your mom will not be happy that you're here with children." I tried to probe her and get an explanation as to why that was so. Instead, she gave me a cute innocent look. Sometimes the job is very stressful but little moments like that are always welcomed.
