Pause and Reflect.
I was asked to complete portions of my personal evaluation that is due soon or past due. As I sat there signing documents and filling in personal information, I came upon the Physician Information section. It dawned on me that this is the first time I get to answer this question. I'm 30 and thanks to hard work and personal sacrifices I have made in these 30 years of my existence, I get to fill in this section. I'm finally insured. I have a doctor.
For those that have never known the uninsured life, consider yourself fortunate. I bare scars, constant reminders of my unprivileged past. I don't hide them like before, I embrace them. They are me and I am them.

Rag’N’Bone Man – “Human”
Kudos to Dappered.com for recognizing how admirable it is for this singer, Rory Graham, to address body image. “If you don’t like the way I look, that’s your problem.”

Call me. We can help you.
He asked me for spare change.
I shook his hand asked him for his name. It was soft.
Lucky he replied, as he stared down and away.
I gave him $1 and my card.
Have you seen or worked with us? I asked.
No. Stares at my card and badge.
I tell him, call me. We can help you with housing. Would you like that?
Yes, he says. Anymore change?
No, sorry but call me. We can help you.
