The group known as Tonatierra movement will set up the posts before tomorrows match between Mexico and Denmark. A member by the name Salvador Reza indicated that signs will be posted informing the attendees that they're assisting in the deportation of illegal immigrants by attending the match in Glendale, Arizona. If anyone should be held accountable it should be the Mexican Federation of Futbol. Why would they host a friendly match, in arguably, the most anti-immigrant state in the United States.

Huell Howser Will be Missed
Howser took his viewers to parks, museums, libraries, historic landmarks and any other place he found interesting. He would visit these places and conduct informal—but thorough—on the spot interviews. One week you could be watching Howser exploring Frank Sinatra’s house in Palm Springs and the next week he’d be in the Tehachapi Mountains visiting The Cesar Chavez Foundation.
“California’s Gold” ran for 18-seasons and started out the same year that California voters approved Proposition 187, the 1994 anti-immigrant measure introduced in response to the state’s changing demographics.
The show started at a time when the state was divided but “California’s Gold” still went in to a diverse set of communities and highlighted our differences so we could better understand each other and find similar interests.

A New Year, A New Tradition
This year I want to start a new tradition on my blog. I'm going to post a story that's both newsworthy and heartwarming. It may go unnoticed by our traditional media sources but I feel like it will be worth reminiscing by the end of 2013. We're bombarded with horrible and tragic news every day, I'd like to counter that with something that sheds some good light on humanity.
That is all.
Thanks for stopping by, strangers that I know not of.

The Measure of a Civilization
"...the moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; those who are in the shadows of life; the sick, the needy and the handicapped. " ~ Last Speech of Hubert H. Humphrey
"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Ghandi
